K-Lite Codec Pack 64-bit
This pack should be used together with 64-bit players. At this moment only a few of those exist, for example Vista Media Center. Most players are still 32-bit. Even the 64-bit versions of Windows XP and Vista still use a 32-bit version of Windows Media Player by default. For 32-bit players you should use the regular K-Lite Codec Pack. You can have both this 64-bit pack and the regular 32-bit pack installed at the same time. Both will function independently from each other, because 32-bit and 64-bit software are kept separated by Windows.
