Microsoft have officially completed compiling beta builds and is all set to sign off the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, as per their schedule.

The company will reveal the beta build (8250) in a special event to be held next Wednesday at around 9 a.m. ET - which interestingly enough will coincide with the Mobile World Congress 2012.

Recently the software outfit declared a number of changes to be featured in the public beta, leading to some questionnable issues as well as strong criticism, such as the introduction of an updated new Windows logo as well as their latest "Charms bar" on the Start menu.

The Customer Preview also features a selection of preinstalled games such as Solitaire, Pinball - as well as the preview version of Angry Birds, available on the Windows Store reported Tech Spot.

For developers, free applications can be published via Windows Store with downloads to cost somewhere between $1.49 to $999.

In addition to the Windows 8 update, screenshots of Office 15 Technical Preview's have reportedly been leaked. The leak reveals that the interface is still the same but default options such as the Ribbon menu minimisation has beeen modified.
