• Strategic Command World War 1 Announced - Battlefront sent out a press release announcing Strategic Command World War 1, a new installment in the Strategic Command series in development at Fury Software which does not yet carry a release date
• The Lord of the Rings Online: Rise of Isengard Announced - Turbine announced The Lord of the Rings Online: Rise of Isengard (trailer), a new expansion planned for release in Fall 2011 for The Lord of the Rings Online, their free-to-play MMORPG
• Din's Curse: Demon War Announced - Soldak Entertainment announces Din's Curse: Demon War, the first expansion for Din's Curse, their action/RPG
• Two Worlds II Patch v1.0.1 - The official Two Worlds II Website now offers a new patch for Two Worlds II bringing Reality Pump's role-playing sequel to version 1.0.1
• Dune 2: The Golden Path v1.1.08 - A new version 1.1.08 of Dune 2: The Golden Path is now available, updating this multi-platform, freeware game based on the original Dune 2, the seminal real-time strategy game. It adds compatibility with Windows XP/Vista/7, Linux and Mac and much more.
• 3DMark 11 to be released November 30 - 3DMark 11 finally has a firm release date. The program will be released in three different versions on November 30. This new version of the program, made specifically to test PC hardware performance with DirectX 11 graphics features, will be made available as a free version with all of the demo tests but with ads enabled.
• Red Orchestra 2 System Requirements - The Steam Page for Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is online, offering a set of system requirements.
• Steam Recommendations - Valve has launched a 'Recommended For You' system on Steam, which is 'designed to help gamers discover new games and DLC based upon their tastes and recent purchases, as well as games recommended by friends.' The recommendations will appear in a new page within the Steam Community, which makes recommendations based upon your recent purchases and played games.
• Bungie looking for beta testers for unannounced game - The Redmond, Washington-based company is looking to its fan community to sign up and beta test its next game, the first in a planned series of titles to be published by Activision.
  While details of the game have been kept under wraps there is recent evidence that the title will be coming to the PC platform.
• Magicka to get closed beta test - The development team at Arrowhead Games and publisher Paradox Interactive are holding a closed beta test for the upcoming fantasy action-RPG. Entry into the beta test means that you have to take a picture of yourself wearing some kind of robe. Then you go over to the official Magicka Facebook page, "Like" it and then upload the picture to its wall. Folks who get picked to the closed beta will be notified in the next two to three weeks.
