  • KillSkill Announced - Russian developer and publisher Playnatic Entertainment announces KillSkill, a subscription-free MMO third-person shooter with RPG elements that will enter closed beta testing next month.
  • Final Fantasy XIII Collector's Edition Details - Square Enix sent out a press release with the details of their Collector's Edition for Final Fantasy XIII (PAL). By purchasing the Collector's Edition you'll get your hands on: Original Soundtrack, The World of FFXIII hardback artbook, 3 art prints and a unique 'Brand of the I'Cie' decale. While the game is advertised on a European retail site, you'd expect the US edition to be similar, if not identical. . The press release doesn't mention a price, butGamestop.it offers pre-orders at the price of € 80 ($110).
  • Goldeneye: Source Beta 4 Trailer - The teaser trailer for Goldeneye: Source Beta 4, a Half-Life 2 mod that tries to bring back the feeling of the original Goldeneye game for Nintendo 64, has been revealed! Showing off many of the new maps, weapons, models, and more, the trailer is definitely worth checking out.
  • Warcraft III v1.24d Patch - This patch for Warcraft III fixes a crash issue that occurs when too many invalid build commands are queued up.
  • More Borderlands DLC In Development - Gearbox designer Jason "haTts" Reiss has made a brief post to the Gearbox forums indicating that more Borderlands DLC is on the way -- including raising the level cap.
  • Sword of the Stars II announced for 2011 release - Paradox Interactive bought the rights to publish the space strategy game franchise Sword of the Stars in 2009 after its original publisher Lighthouse Interactive shut down its operations. Today Paradox announced that that game is getting a full blown sequel, Sword of the Stars II, that will be released sometime in 2011.
  • Phantasy Star Universe PC servers shutting down March 31 - The big reason? According to the forum post, "The population is simply too low for us to be able to continue to support this platform." The single player portion of the game will of course remain unaffected.
  • On Bethesda's Mystery MMOG - The information Bethesda Softworks has been attempting to redact from the documents from their legal action against Interplay over the Fallout MMORPG has come to light. Duck and Cover has obtained the actual statements from the court transcript that Bethesda wants redacted. Luckily, our source was able to snag these before the redactions went through.
  • GoG.com puts Cyan Worlds games on sale - GoG.com has launched its regular weekly sales event today. This time they have put three of the game they have acquired from developer Cyan Worlds on the temporary price chopping block. Myst Masterpiece Edition, Riven: The Sequel to Myst and the children's game The Manhole Masterpiece Edition are all on sale for 25 percent off their normal GoG.com priced until the end of the day on Monday.
  • Just Cause 2 Has Built in Video Capture on PS3 - Square Enix London Studios Communications Manager Gareth Ramsey has announced today that Just Cause 2 for PS3 will feature video capture functionality that is exclusive to Sony's PlayStation 3. This option will allow you to post the last 30 seconds of gameplay directly to Youtube. Also available is the 10 minute feature, which you invoke from the menu, to allow players to setup and and capture "planned presentations" on video. entertainment system.
  • PS3 is Hacked by George Hotz - The PS3 is hacked, at least according to George Hotz on his latest blog entry.
  • Final Fantasy I + II heading to iPhone/ iPod Touch - Square Enix have announced that they are set to bring Final Fantasy classics I and II to the iPhone and iPod touch. There are no details as to when these are set to release, or pricing.
