P5Q3 Deluxe supports DDR3 2000
Chinese website Expreview has gathered pictures of three enthusiast-targeted P45 motherboards (thanks TechReport) from Asus, Gigabyte, and Foxconn. At the top of the list is the Asus P5Q3 Deluxe, which is loaded with three physical PCI Express x16 slots with CrossFire support, four DDR3 memory slots, six 300MB/s Serial ATA ports, built-in Wi-Fi, and an elaborate network of heatsinks and heat pipes. A PR shot of the board claims it can support DDR3 memory clocked at up to 2000MHz. Next up is the Gigabyte P45-DQ6. This specimen squeezes a staggering four Ethernet ports in its I/O cluster and ten 300MB/s Serial ATA ports on the motherboard PCB. There's also a pair of physical PCIe x16 slots and a pair of physical PCIe x4 slots. Unlike the Asus motherboard, this model only takes DDR2 memory, although it apparently supports RAM speeds of up to 1200MHz. Last, but not least, Expreview scavenged pictures of the Foxconn Quantum Force 'Avenger' from TweakTown. The Foxconn board has similar features to the aforementioned, including dual PCIe x16 slots, but it has a more original layout that positions the north bridge next to the CPU. This board has plenty of goodies for hardcore enthusiasts, including voltage measurement points for multi-meters, a fan mount for north bridge and memory cooling, a memory temperature monitoring feature, and an "Ultimate Overclocking Control Panel" that slips into a 5.25" drive bay. Intel should launch the P45 some time in the middle of June.
